I am a registered psychotherapist and counsellor in good standing with the BCCSW and BCCASW (BC College of Social Workers, and BC Association of Social Workers). I hold a Master of clinical Social Work from the University of Victoria, and graduated from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, with a degree in Somatic and Transpersonal Counselling Psychology.
I provide therapy in private practice to a broad community in Vancouver.
My study of buddhist philosophy and eastern psychology over the past two decades inform my worldview in deep ways; I go on silent study for several weeks each year in the wild to further explore and unfold the complexity of Mind, Soul and our human form in the cosmos.
I work from a place of interconnection, understanding that our distress and our strategies for coping are informed by our surroundings, relationships, and social context. I am motivated by people not having to be alone in their pain. I often work with people who are seeking more empowering ways to find relief from feelings of inadequacy, a lost sense of self, safety, meaning or performance, relational stress, depression, anxiety, heartache or feeling alone.
